Downtown Landmark Plays Host to Local Musicians

Inspired by artist, Jim Draper, The Snyder Memorial Music Project is a collaboration between the City of Jacksonville and local music promoters, Infintesmal Records. The initiative is part of Mayor John Peytons effort to create new opportunities for artists in Downtown and to help drive Downtown revitalization. Opened as part of a demonstration program, Snyder Memorial is being programmed for live music on Friday nights throughout July.
WHAT:
Every Friday night in July, a DJ and three bands will perform at Snyder Memorial. The DJ begins at 8 p.m. followed by three live bands from 9 p.m. until midnight. Infintesmal Records will also feature the work of five, local, visual artists. Artists include: Crystal Floyd, David Miller, Ryan Strasser, Rebecca Rhyne, and Sean Madgett. An artistic lighting installation by Ian Chase will also be featured.
